History As We Know It Is A Lie Dark Skies exposed the truth about alien manipulation of human history. Events etched in our collective psyche are illusions in a plot to create a planet more conducive to alien comfort.

Naturally, it all began at Roswell, and Crop Circles are evidence of alien visitations.  But MAJIC uses the 1960's space program as a cover-up in "Mercury Rising," and Aliens master US politics to assassinate J.F. Kennedy in "Moving Targets." The Hive attempted to control human minds during the first broadcast of The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in "Dark Day's Night."  With ambitious scripts, each new week related the alternate story of a different historical event in a different setting, from New York to Dallas to Alaska, and always checking in on Washington, DC, for the latest Hive happenings.

Area 51, Howard Hughes and his Las Vegas penthouse, Cow Mutilations in the midwest, and the infamous U2 incident were all re-created by Curt Schnell during his engagement as Production Designer for the pilot and eight episodes of the first season.
